After the Valley of the Kings we went to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut,
not far away. By now I was starting to get a little "templed out" but it was interesting nonetheless.

We spent the rest of the day beside the pool, until it was time to say goodbye to the 9-dayers |
Day 7 - New Years Eve - Dahab
We arrived in Dahab after travelling by road and ferry and spending a very short night in Hurghada.
We settled into the basic hotel accommodation and headed up into the mountains for a New Years Eve dinner with some local
Bedouin people. It was a fabulous and unforgettable way to welcome in the New Year.

|
We were treated to a Bedouin "barbeque" meal by candlelight, high in the mountains around Dahab |

|
After dinner the men started dancing and singing for us. They were clearly having so much fun. |

|
This boy, whose father wasn't even in the group, was having an absolute ball being out with the men. |

|
The circle around the campfire got smaller as the night drew to a close |
